About us

Film Forums has evolved into a place for independent filmmakers to talk about their experiences in the film industry, as well as promote their projects. We have over 10,000 followers across social media and are receiving numerous requests for interviews from directors, screenwriters, actors, film publicists and production companies.

We have interviewed directors, actors and screenwriters about movies starring the likes of Sean Young (Blade Runner), Barry Primus (The Irishman, American Hustle), Jason Biggs (American Pie), as well as Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project).

Due to the growth of the website and increased workload we need a volunteer to support with content management. For the time being, this is intended as a work experience position, but could potentially be converted into a paid position in the future. You’ll gain experience in editing and publishing web content and may well end up interviewing members of the film industry in the future! A reference can also be provided to future employers.

Your main duties:

  • Transcribing, editing and formatting interviews from captured video
  • Publishing interviews on the website with SEO in mind
  • Image editing
  • Writing articles and posting on social media (optional)
  • Potentially conduct interviews with members of the film industry in the future

Essential: A computer/laptop with a reliable internet connection. An excellent level of written English. Proofreading and editing skills.

Desirable: Experience using WordPress, content writing and SEO copywriting. Access to Photoshop or experience with basic photo editing would be a huge bonus, as would experience with formatting and scheduling social media posts. Familiarity with Google Docs.
